2010-lamborghini-lp550-2-valentino-balboni-10.jpegIt has been about 10 years since Lamborghini released a rear-wheel drive car, so the Gallardo LP550-2 Vittorio Balboni is long, long overdue. We should have picked up the hint when the Gallardo upgrade was christened “LP560-4” because you wouldn’t call it “4” when everybody knew it was all-wheel drive, unless you were planning to launch something with something else.About 41 years ago, an older tractor maker named Ferruccio Lamborghini recruited a young man to join the fledgling sports car company he built purely to spite Enzo Ferrari, whose customer relationship management he didn’t think much of.

lamborghini-reventon-roadster-4.jpgA two-minute video featuring the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has just been released, but don’t expect to see too much of the car in the clip. After graduating, he spent two years as a paratrooper, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, as a Lieutenant in the German Army.

lamborghini-reventon-roadster-1.jpgDidn’t manage to empty your bank account on one of the 20 Lamborghini Reventon coupes? No worries, as the Italian dream-carmaker is readying another exclusive batch of Reventons, this time in roadster form. The front piece of Lamborghini’s stand at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show gets the same jet-fighter looks as the coupe model which was unveiled two years ago sans the rooftop, of course. There’s nothing official on the car as of yet, but we suspect that the topless Reventon will be powered by Lambo’s particular feisty 6.5-liter V12 producing around 650HP.

Lamborghini Miura
The much-acclaimed Lamborghini Miura Bible by Joe Sackey was first published by Veloce in November 2008. However the entire first print run was sold out in less than four months, leaving a lot of people disappointed. Now reprinted, the book is widely available again.
