Since its 2002 introduction, the Maybach 62, and it’s smaller sibling, the 57, have been relatively unchanged. For the 2010 model year, the cars will receive a minor refresh, which should carry the car until at least 2013. Spy photographers on Friday snapped some up-close shots of a 2010 62 prototype, with a number of changes visible.

The Maybach brand is bringing out the new Maybach Zeppelin to spearhead its luxury saloon model range. The new model, which is receiving its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, represents the absolute zenith in the high-end luxury saloon segment.

It’s that time of the year again - where we bring you the annual update on a brand that is hardly ever discussed in the automotive industry - Maybach. According to Automotive News, despite the global economic crisis and the credit crunch, customers aren’t cancelling their Maybach orders.

We almost forgot that Maybach is still around until today. A stretched Maybach 62 is on sale in Germany for those that thought that seating for four in the ultra-luxurious car was never enough (or for those that just want to show off that they have a limo version of one of the most expensive vehicles in the world).

Most readers will probably have no trouble recalling the bonkers Maybach Exelero coupe from 2005—700 horsepower, three ton, $8 million Darth Vadermobiles aren’t quickly forgotten as a rule—so you’ll understand our initial excitement at seeing an apparent listing for the car on eBay Motors. Of course, as is so often the case with these types of too-good-to-be-true listings, getting your shot at the Exelero for a starting bid of just over $300K is, well, too good to be true.
