The Maserati GranTurismo is one sexy two-door, and the ultimate in Trident-wearing super coupes is the MC Stradale. To give this super GT its bragging rights, Maserati engineers coaxed another 20 horsepower from its 4.3-liter V8 engine, bringing the grand total to 450 powerful ponies. Also tweaked were the chassis and aero, giving the MC Stradale the agility to handle all the extra brute force.

The number of Chinese millionaires is growing rapidly, and women account for a third of that rising, affluent population. This is good news to exotic car manufacturers because wealthy Chinese women are snatching them up like Italian pastries.

Sales of high-end automobiles rose 60 percent last year and analysts are already pegging a 35 percent climb for 2011. Maserati reports that 30 percent of its Chinese sales are to women, compared against just 10 percent for European sales. China is now on track to pass Italy as the automaker’s second largest market.

Maserati is exerting efforts in order to produce the next Quattroporte. Though it is not a secret anymore, however, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, who is at the helm of Fiat design team at present relinquished some details with respect to the new car. Auto experts believed that the next-generation Maserati Quattroporte is not going to be any bigger. In an interview, the design head at Fiat, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, said, “Even though our rivals – such as the new Audi A8 – are getting longer, we have to keep it as a sporty alternative”.
