If you thought the current trend of alphanumeric nameplates leaves most cars sounding like places on a bingo card, just get a load of the latest from Vauxhall. General Motors’ British subsidiary has outfitted one of its Corsa hatchbacks with over 2,000 bingo balls hand-applied to a pastel bingo sheet all over the car’s surface.

Vauxhall is U.K.’s top selling brand in JuneVauxhall is Britain’s bestseller because more than any other factor, they have great looking cars like the Astra, Corsa and Insignia.

It’s a real shame that Holden can’t bring these three particular models to Australia, as they would most likely be just as popular down here as they are in the U.K.

I saw warmed up editions (GTC) of both the Insignia and Corsa at last year’s Nurburgring 24 Hour race, and they were attracting plenty of German onlookers eager to know more about these cars.

Vauxhalls from past, present & future head up charge to GoodwoodA trio of Vauxhall’s spanning 100 years of innovation by the company will star at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 2-4.

While Vauxhall has yet to confirm its launch of the new VXR8, the latest HSV GTS E2 – its near-identical Australian sibling – will give the clearest indication yet of its intention to sell the car in Britain. The new super-saloon will appear as part of the Festival’s First Glance/Supercar group, and in a glorious counterpoint, its oldest Vauxhall predecessor, the 3.0-litre Prince Henry – acknowledged as Britain’s first true sports car – will be chasing it hard up Goodwood’s treacherous hillclimb.

Astra Sports Tourer revealedVauxhall has released pictures and details of the Astra Sports Tourer, the new version estate car.

The Sports Tourer will be the second bodystyle to join the new Astra range, which has now sold over 28,000 units in the UK (to end of May) since its launch last December.

The car and its hatch sibling will be among the first Vauxhall models to adopt Start/Stop technology, reducing emissions and fuel consumption.

From tomorrow Vauxhall will offer customers a new and innovative way to drive their latest cars. Based on a Personal Contract Hire (PCH) scheme, buyers can take advantage of a low initial outlay followed by affordable monthly payments.

For example, a new 2010 Corsa SXi is available through the scheme for just £189 per month, with an initial rental of only £567*, making one of the UK’s most popular cars even more affordable.

The programme, which can be based on either a two, three or four year agreement, removes the anxiety of making a cash purchase and suffering depreciation, while allowing customers to replace their car after a set period with no disposal concerns.
