
World premiere in motorsport: At the 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours on 14/15 June, the three Audi R10 TDI prototypes entered by Audi Sport Team Joest will race for the first time with the next generation of Biofuel manufactured from Biowaste and promising a reduction in the emission of CO2 by almost 90 per cent when compared with traditional diesel. Britain’s Allan McNish will race an Audi bidding for glory in a race he won 10 years ago.

Audi announced today that effective immediately, options available for the Audi R8 will also include the first full-LED headlamp. The daytime running light now features 24 LEDs per headlamp along with light-emitting diodes for turn signals and low-beam and high-beam headlights.

As reported yesterday, Ford confirmed today that it will build the new Fiesta sedan at its Cuautitlan, Mexico plant starting 2010. But we have better news for all you hatchback fans; FoMoCo confirmed that it will add the hatchback version of the Fiesta lineup when it arrives in 2010.

Our favorite BMW tuner, Hartge, has released its latest aerodynamic tuning kit for the BMW X5. The new package includes an aggressive front spoiler, rear skirt, side skirts and wheel arch extensions. Carbon fiber casings for the side mirrors are also available along with a mesh grille that gives the front end a sharp look.

Mercedes today unveiled the 2009 G-Class. The new model will go on sale in September 2008 with prices for Europe starting at 68,425 euro for the G 320 CDI and going up to 92,344 G500 Cabriolet.
The newest generation of the G-Class can be identified by its restyled, three-fin radiator grille, with the G 500 sporting new-look 18‑inch light-alloy wheels as an additional distinguishing feature.
