Lamborghini Establishes

The cold hard truth for western countries is that China is on well on track to becoming the most powerful economy in the world. Acknowledging this fact, Lamborghini decided to establish a new branch in China in the country´s capital city Beijing that will start operations at the beginning of 2009. Currently, the Italian sports carmaker has three dealers located in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, one in Hong Kong, and another two will be shortly be opened in Chengdu and Qingdao. The company’s China sales this year a expected to grow by 186% or from 27 cars in 2007 towards 80 in 2008.

Saturn Vue Hybrid

GM will unveil at the SEMA Show this “Cool to be green” project created by R. Bottom Design. This Saturn Vue can be powered by either propane or gasoline fuel. Its LPG injection system is clean and efficient. Solar panels on the roof provide charging of the electric assist battery pack.

The winner for the 2009 European Car of the Year will not be announced until three weeks from now, but Fiat insiders announced that the Alfa Romeo MiTo has been voted European Car of the Year 2009 by a panel of sector journalists.

Ford

Ford Motor Company announced today that it will be investing $200 million into its two Louisville, Kentucky, assembly plants, according to Kentucky governor Steve Beshear. This is on top of $100 million per plant Ford promised earlier this year as the two plants transition away from solely producing SUVs and pickups and into more efficient automobiles.
