It was reported last week that 15 customers returned their GM vehicle under the automaker’s 60-day money-back guarantee program. Speaking today during a conference call with the media, Susan Docherty, GM’s vehicle president of U.S. sales, said that a total of 142,000 vehicles have been sold under the program with 449 customers opting for the return guarantee instead of the $500 cash rebate.
Of those, four have returned their vehicles and gotten their money back on a Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Malibu and Chevrolet Silverado.
In total, 49 customers are in the process of returning or exchanging their vehicles, Docherty said.
