The cars of the future don’t stop driving people mad with their unique and bizarre shapes, features, characteristics. Here are the concepts vehicles which can strike not only with their shapes but also with their crazy ideas in technique and design.
Stop it, don’t drop it! The recently exposed concept of Peugeot was designed for the megalopolis of tomorrow. You can see the concepts in two types: the first one is for two persons in glamorous style and the second one was designed for one person.

The next shape is right for the lack of parking place.

Germany always used to pose itself as a snooker empire. The new German Audi concept without wheels and the rollers instead attracts so that everyone can say: “What?! What was it?! Is it…a car?!â€

But here is quite more extraordinary concept Peugeot 360 which has spheres to move in any direction the drivers want. Of course, the vehicle possesses the onboard computer for the best navigation. The degradation of wheels has become a good tradition for Ferrari Monza Car families as well. Though the auto has aeroappearence, winglets called canards were used for this model.

The following alien car has been designed exactly for silent speed. The director of Italiandesign Quaranta Fabrizio Giugiaro claims the car can show more than 200 kph and still doesn’t make any noise at all.

The old good Renault Nepta concept has now become very popular among concept cars. The opening panels which make the four passengers vehicle cabriolet make the conditioning and comfort ability of the concept unique.

Nissan Pivo 2 has also surrealistic features. It is electric powered and gives the access to any doors as well. But the craziest feature about this vehicle is 360 degrees rotation.

And here is one feature about this car: it is equipped with Nissan’s Around View Monitor that allows avoiding blind spots.

This is Mazda Kazamai Crossover. It also uses aerodynamics as the other concepts do. But the most famous feature of the concept is its 30% fuel consumption thanks to special MZR 2.0 liter petrol engine.

The B.A.T. concept cars based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione are considered to be the most hopeful vehicles in the future. They tend to be hydrogen or fuel-cell unit that means the car is green.

This Airflow by Pierre Sabas of France was produced mostly of glass. And despite the standard set of electric powered motor and body orientated for good parking, the vehicle also has possibility to slide out while running into corners.

Oh, just f**k right off! I need a two seater tandem style carbon fiber bodied, safe, three-wheel, ultra fast, diesel/electric plug-in that gets a maximum miles to a gallon and that will last forever without expensive repairs or replacement just to commute to and from work to my over mortgaged, over sized, over priced, McMansion, and keep my low -paying, insecure, down-sizable, exportable job. The a**holes at Peugeot, Audi, Renault, Nissan, BMW and the like better smarten up, or prepare to be replaced by a logical Chinaman with a realistic perception of life in present day America and a commuter car to fit my needs and abilities to pay in my circumstances! The oil is running out, the resources are drying up, we are burning food to drive, we are in deeper debt than any other nation in history, our government prints money to fight wars for other people they favor personally or to bribe them for more oil, we suffer horrendous inflation on money that is getting scarce, we are taxed beyond fairness, we have a standard of living we can no longer afford and we are getting old and tired fast ! Give us what we practically and realistically need and can afford or anticipate our mass resignation in the form of the next great depression!

Something designers need to keep in mind is that people like cars because they can drive them. I don’t like the idea of a car that gives you nothing to do, like that Nissan. If you don’t feel like you’re in control or at the helm of the vehicle, then it’s just an appliance. These look cool, but do they feel like cars from the driver’s perspective??

wow futuristic and very fantastic concept. thanks for sharing.

Damn straight, Uncle B!
I am so tired of seeing commercials that suggest buying a new car to get better gas mileage… but noone can afford a new car either. There are even commercials by BMW showing people all looking depressed riding bikes, buses etc, then some jackass in a BMW rolls around (oh so free), and BMW’s driving sales pitch? I think it gets 35mpg… seriously, that isn’t wondrous or anything. I’ll stick riding the light-rail thank you very much.

jeez guys, lay off, these are CONCEPT cars!
I don’t think I have ever seen a concept car actually put into production. the point of a concept car is to try out/experiment with new/different/extreme ideas about cars and to show off at car show. they also tend to show off the general direction the car company would like to take their car designs.
bottom line, NONE of these cars are production models!!! these cars, if they make it off paper, are going to tour some auto shows and then either get dismantled or packed up and put in storage.
so just chill guys

i agree wholeheartedly with Uncle B! and to “me”: concept, yes, but DO climb down from the think tank ivory tower and consider REAL LIFE when conceptualizing.

you missed out the amazing fabric BMW

The only car that seems the most… car-like is that B.A.T one. But, i look at these and wonder how a girl working at a supermarket could ever afford something like this? Gas is running out, prices on food are skyrocketing, but it’s the perfect time to buy a new car! [/sarcasm]

hahaha, i love how Uncle B assumes that all concepts should be designed with the average american commute to an average american city in mind.
Interesting how non of these concepts are by american manufacturers and yet you assume that they should be helping dig you out of the hole that rediculous american mortgage lending and spending on iraq has gotten you into as well as damaging other countries economies.

Chill. They’re just cars. Nothing worth getting your blood up.
September 2nd, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Wow nice looking concepts. Really good to see new ideas from the designers. Well done all, seems that UncleB has some anger issues, frankly im bored with all this enviro friendly crap shoved in peoples faces by …well some middle class people who have nothing better to do than force there ideas down our throat.
September 5th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Get a better job so you can afford gas you stupid, smelly hippies.
Bwahahhaahahahaaaaaaaa!!!
September 6th, 2008 at 2:14 am
Uncle B: These are concepts…. just concepts… you will never see these cars on a lot.
September 11th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Nothing wrong with these sweet looking vehicles. They are begging to be driven.
Well done boyzz

I’m so sick of concepts. Concept cars, concept phones, concept houses. Who cares what a car company is maybe kinda thinking about building in the next five to ten years? Until there’s atleast a working prototype I don’t want to hear about it.
January 15th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
nobheads concepts are just for fun and are cool
March 30th, 2009 at 8:14 am
Without concepts we would still be swinging from trees … on the otherhand uncle B has some good points to make … especially knowing that many inventions that have given amazing fuel efficiencies or more durable parts that have been purposely purchaced by either oil companies or the auto industry to silence them … so who is really on our side? Uncle $Buck$

the nissan is garbage. the ferrari looks weird. mazda looks nice. BAT looks weird. alien car and audi rolly ball are pointless. designers are starting to make weird pointless things. not real cars. evry company has the ability to make a fast car, a green car they just dont choose too. conept designers need to be realistic not just some peice of sh*t that looks “cool” when it really looks like sh*t
June 27th, 2009 at 5:00 am
